We welcome you to a new catalog experience. For 2021 we have re-invented the digital catalog for you to navigate through our collections.
We hope you enjoy the journey.
In 2018, we embarked on a sustainability journey. We have sought the most sustainable manufacturing practices with the aim to not simply remain “neutral” but instead create a positive impact on the environment.
In 2019, this journey led us to become members of The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). The BCI trains farmers to care for the environment and respect workers’ rights and wellbeing. We have sourced over 400,000 KG of Better Cotton to date. All our new 2021 collections’ cotton has been sourced as Better Cotton. We continue the migration from regular cotton to Better Cotton, and we are pleased to announce that we have completed the transition in one of our more important collections: The Triblend Collection. We are on schedule to source 90% of our cotton as Better Cotton by 2022.
An estimated 59,602,817 gallons of water were saved
An estimated 5088oz of pesticides were avoided
BCI Farmers benefited from an estimated $77,672 additional profit*
*BCI Farmers experience profit increases for a variety of reasons, most commonly due to increased yields and/or optimized use of inputs (such as irrigation water, pesticides or synthetic fertilizer).
In 2020, we met our goal of sourcing the recycled polyester equivalent to 6 million plastic bottles. This helps our collective fight against pollution and climate change. By transitioning to recycled polyester, we’re not only utilizing plastic that would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean but also allows us to produce our garments using less energy, less water and less CO2 emissions.
Saved energy equivalent to 28,000 days of power for a home
Saved water equivalent to the daily water need for 265,000 people
Avoided CO2 emissions equivalent to 13,140 days of driving a passenger car
As part of the Threadfast family, you are on this journey with us, so we want to make it a little easier to navigate. Most of our collections are made of blends, each blend is made of various fibers and each fiber is sourced differently. This is why we have tagged each collection in this catalog with an earth tag to illustrate the garment’s sustainable attributes.
